ANCHORAGE –

Two Anchorage sisters have dubbed themselves Santa’s little helpers this season.

Morgan and Mia Grace Stratton have been delivering joy to the masses through elf-grams — song-and-dance routines — the two are serving up as a fundraiser. The idea was the brainchild of their mother, Jennifer Stratton, inspired by the movie “Elf” with Will Ferrell.

In candy cane tights and jingling velvet slippers, the Stratton sisters are dressed the part and doing their part to perfect their talents.

“We are fundraising to go to Arizona for theatrical education,” explained Morgan, 16.

For $30 per elf-gram (price includes three songs), she and 10-year-old Mia Grace hit the town, delivering a double dose of Christmas delight with holiday favorites like “Up On The Housetop,” “Carol of the Bells,” and others.

They even re-enact what’s known as “The Dad Song” from the movie “Elf.”

The pair says the smiles they see on each elf-gram recipient’s face is enough fuel to get them through a little stage fright.

“We visited a lady and she had just had surgery recently,” said Morgan of a recent gram order. “And the person who had called us to have us go deliver an elf-gram to her is like one of her best friends, and she wanted to give her a little extra Christmas spirit.”
